A COMPLETE TOOLKIT
Cat Weight Kit is the purrfect cat weight management app. It provides you with all the tools you need to confidently manage and monitor your cat's weight, whether their goal is to maintain, lose, or gain weight.
The 3 complementary tools create a cycle to Assess → Track → Adjust, and repeat, for smart weight management — because it’s never a fixed, one-time plan.
1. Body Condition Scoring: The best way to determine how much weight your cat needs to lose or gain, or if their weight is ideal, is through a hands-on and visual examination. We've made assessing your cat as simple as possible with our comprehensive body condition guide, quiz, and ideal weight estimator.
2. Weight Tracker: Record weights, body condition scores, progress photos, and events that may impact weight. Visualize weight trends with the interactive chart. Set goals and stats provide colour-coded feedback to show if total and weekly weight changes are on track, along with the remaining weight to lose or gain.
3. Food Calculator: Create custom meal plans based on your cat's weight, activity level, and weight goal. Select the proportion of wet food, dry food, and treats, and choose the number of meals per day. Calorie calculations are estimates and can be fine-tuned to match your cat's specific requirements using the 'Adjust Calories' tool.
Feline weight management requires ongoing body condition assessments, weight tracking, and calorie adjustments to reach and maintain healthy weights — as well as catch unintentional weight loss early that could indicate an underlying health issue.
THE APP FOR EVERY CAT
Managing and monitoring every cat's weight is an important part of supporting long-term health.
✓
Body Condition Score: Determine how significantly overweight your cat is and estimate their ideal weight.
✓
Food Calculator: Estimate your cat's daily calories and create custom meal plans with the exact amount of food (in grams).
✓
Weight Tracker: Monitor weekly weight change and adjust meal plan calories as needed to aim for a weight loss of 0.5-2% of body weight per week — not too fast (which can lead to health complications) or too slow.
✓
Body Condition Scoring: Determine how significantly underweight your cat is and estimate their ideal weight.
✓
Food Calculator: Create custom meal plans with increased calories that support weight gain.
✓
Weight Tracker: Monitor weight changes in response to diet and treatment plans to make informed decisions that support health.
✓
Body Condition Scoring: Regularly assess body condition so you can take action if your cat starts to lose their healthy shape.
✓
Food Calculator: Estimate your cat's daily calories and create custom meal plans with the exact amount of food (in grams).
✓
Weight Tracker: Monitor total weight change and adjust meal plan calories as needed to maintain a healthy weight — while weight gain usually indicates overfeeding, weight loss may indicate underfeeding or a health issue requiring veterinary attention. Substantial weight changes (>5% from baseline) are highlighted for immediate attention.
Cat Weight Kit is for informational purposes only and does not replace veterinary care. The app is designed to support informed decision-making with your veterinarian.

What is Cat Weight Kit? Cat Weight Kit is a mobile app designed to help cat owners manage and monitor their cat's weight. Developed by a veterinarian, it's the purrfect set of weight management tools and includes a Cat Food Calculator, Cat Weight Tracker, and Body Condition Scoring guide.
What does Cat Weight Kit do? Cat Weight Kit creates a complete cycle to assess if your cat is underweight, overweight, or at an ideal weight using the Body Condition Scoring guide (includes an ideal weight estimator); set goals and track their weight using the Weight Tracker; create meal plans and easily adjust calories based on weight trends using the Food Calculator.
Who does it help? It helps you confidently monitor and manage cats who need to lose or gain weight. For cats at their ideal weight, it helps catch unintentional weight changes early, which may indicate a feeding imbalance or an underlying health issue. Monitoring and managing every cat's weight is an important part of supporting long-term feline health.
Can kittens use Cat Weight Kit? You absolutely can record your kitten's weight using Cat Weight Kit. However, I would also recommend using Waltham Kitten Growth Charts to ensure they follow a healthy growth curve to reach their healthy adult weight, then switch to Cat Weight Kit to help them maintain their healthy adult weight.
What else will I need? You will also need digital baby/pet scales (kilograms or pounds) and digital kitchen scales (grams) to measure their food — measuring food in cups is not precise and highly variable, as studies have shown.
Can I add more than 10 cats? If you require more than 10 cats, please contact Cat Weight Kit.
How much does it cost? Cat Weight Kit offers a free 14-day trial, then only $9.99* per year to access all features, and is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Stop guessing, and start calculating meal plans and monitoring your cat's weight accurately and confidently today!
*$9.99/year plus applicable taxes. Price may vary by region.
